Ocean Pollution and The Thai Whale Story - Part 5/5

The Thai Whale story brought international attention and media coverage because plastic pollution is a serious issue and certain actions should be taken to prevent it.   The incident inspired the theme of the World Ocean Day and made people rethink the problem. It's sad that such amazing species die due to human activities. Pollution is not only harmful to animals but also to people since we eat them. Plastic can be broken down into small particles by heat although it isn't biodegradable. It means that even small plastic pieces can be harmful to animals and as a result to people. Some species are already at risk of extinction. Additionally, plastic is dangerous as it raises the risk of getting cancer. As eco-conscious people, we should reduce, reuse and recycle plastic.
